For this year’s Christmas Cantata, Grace Choirs will present “LUX: The Dawn From On High,” a major work by contemporary composer Dan Forrest. This piece explores the double meaning of the rising sun at dawn, as well as the Son of God, Light of the World descending from the heavens on Christmas. As the piece unfolds, we follow the journey of the light of the sun from sunrise to sunset, as well as the Light of Jesus active in the world from past, to present, and in the future.
This cantata will feature Grace UMC’s Chancel Choir, Children’s Choir, and guest singers and instrumentalists from throughout our community! There will be a reception afterwards in the Fellowship Hall.
