Outreach and Support

Grace offers many opportunities to care for and support one another as we journey together. This care and support can be a crucial part of one’s road to wholeness, and we are blessed to be here to support our community!

Food Pantry

The Grace UMC Food Pantry seeks to provide food to those who are hungry and in financial need. Jesus fed thousands of his followers during his ministry, having compassion upon them for their hunger. In seeking to be a church modeled after Christ, we want to also have compassion upon those who are in need. Our food pantry is open Thursday mornings from 9 AM to Noon in our Fellowship Hall.  The first Thursday of the month is Government Day and food is available  to residents from all of Brevard County. On subsequent Thursdays during the month we distribute to Merritt Island residents only with a valid ID.

If you are interested in helping with this valuable ministry to our community, please call the church office for more information @ 321-452-2420. If you would like to donate to the Food Pantry, we accept non-perishable food and you can also donate financial support through our giving options and designate your donation for the Food Pantry.

Clothes Closet

The Children / Adult Clothes Closet at Grace seeks to provide quality clothing for children & families who are in need. Clothing for the ministry comes from donations from Grace members and others in the community. Quality children’s clothing is always in great demand and welcomed! If you would like to donate clothing, please drop it off at the church office. The clothes closet is open from 10am-12pm on most Thursdays. If you are interested in helping please contact the church office @ 321-452-2420 for more information.

Country Store

Four Saturdays each year we gather assorted cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items and we open our doors to our community members who can come to shop for the items they need. It is a wonderful way to stand in the gap offering supplies food stamps do not cover. If you would like more information about our Country Store, please call the church office @ 321-452-2420.

Family Promise of Brevard

We are honored to partner with this not-for-profit organization as a host church. Four weeks each year, we open our church to host homeless families providing them food and a place to stay while they work with the people at Family Promise to find housing, jobs, and other essentials to becoming independent. There are many opportunities to serve in this ministry. If you would like more information you can contact our church office @ 321-452-2420.
