Dear Grace Family: I had the privilege of a little time away this past weekend, and I am so grateful for our great worship team doing excellent work in my absence. But I am not surprised, because they do excellent work every week. We are blessed with some great talent here at Grace, and I thank God for each one. From Pastor Beth’s message to the great musical offerings organized by Tom, Mike, and Nick to the prayer and behind-the-scenes camera work that Matt does, we are blessed beyond measure.
This Sunday, September 27, our scripture passages are Philippians 2: 1-4 and Matthew 21: 23-32. The message is entitled “By What Authority?”. I encourage you to read these passages prior to worship and to pray about what authority means to you. Pray for me as I search the scriptures to prepare the message. Look closely at the context of the scripture references, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide your understanding.
This Sunday is also the week that we are asking folks to turn in pledge cards for 2021. If you have already turned in a pledge card, thank you. If you still plan to turn one in, please do so this week, if possible. If you need a fresh pledge card, just call the church office and we will get one to you. Our church leadership receives significant peace of mind in getting an idea of what we can expect in giving to support the coming year’s budget. We are grateful for your faithfulness.
Finally, please remember to share our worship premier on your Facebook page and invite friends to watch our online service. It is the easiest and safest way to share the gospel these days. Whether you choose to worship online or in person, may God bless you as you praise Him this weekend! In Christ’s love,
Pastor Steve Hart
