Dear Grace Community: Have you ever struggled to forgive someone who has hurt you? I think we all have, and sometimes we may struggle for years to let go of the hurt and the pain in order to offer true forgiveness. This Sunday, as we continue our Lenten sermon series, we will explore what it means to embrace the uncertainty of forgiveness. Any time we offer true forgiveness to anyone, including ourselves, there will be aspects of the endeavor that involve risk and uncertainty. However, there is good news in the act of forgiveness, because we will always gain something for ourselves when we forgive. The scripture passages for Sunday are Psalm 121 and Matthew 18: 21-22. The message is entitled “Embracing the Uncertain: Forgiveness.” Please pray for the incredible power of God’s Holy Spirit to be at work in our worship, music and messages this Sunday. All of us who lead worship are grateful for and depend upon your prayers. Keep them coming!
