In worship this Sunday, May 19, we will recognize our graduates from high school, college, and professional programs. We will also celebrate the fact that our preschool continues to thrive, as there are 38 graduates of our VPK program this year. The preschool has its VPK graduation next Wednesday, May 22, at 10:30 am in the sanctuary.
We also look forward to serving the community at the country store at Grace this Saturday morning, and then serving meals with Overlook ministries in Cocoa Saturday afternoon. There are always opportunities to get involved and serve at Grace, and I am grateful that so many of you step up and serve when opportunities arise. Our service makes God smile!
Our scripture for Sunday is Acts 11: 1-18. This is the story of Peter’s dream in which he learned that “What God has made clean, you must not call profane.” My message will explore what it means to make distinctions between the sacred and the secular, the clean and the profane. Properly understanding how God in Christ is at work in the world is critical to our lives as disciples.
I encourage to pray for our church and community, and to come to worship ready to welcome new people. As always, inviting friends is a key part of our growth.
I look forward to seeing you Sunday!
