The summer season is moving fast, and in just a few weeks we will begin another school year. For families with school-age or college-age children, the calendar revolves around the school year. Here at Grace, we are looking forward to supporting MILA Elementary school with a new school year, and we pray that our volunteers will be allowed on the school campus this year. Ms. Patti recently shared with me that Grace Preschool currently has over 100 preschoolers signed up for the coming year. This is great news!
Tim Cordes continues to lead our Country Store event four times a year, and the next Country Store is scheduled for Saturday, August 7. We appreciate all of you who can donate household cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items. We can use help setting up for the Country Store on Friday, August 6, and of course we need folks who can serve on Saturday, August 7.
For this Sunday, July 11, I am working on a message entitled “Galatians and Identity Theft”. This is the second week of my series of messages on Paul’s fiery letter to the Galatian church. The scripture passages are 2 Kings 13: 20-21 and Galatians 2: 11-14 and 19-21. I hope you take the time to read Galatians carefully and that God gives you a fresh perspective on the freedom that life in Christ offers.
Thank you for your faithfulness, financial support, and ongoing prayers for the ministry of Grace UMC.
Finally, please remember to share with your friends the worship and service opportunities that Grace UMC offers. Between online worship and in-person opportunities, we have many ways to connect with those around us!
See you Sunday! Pastor Steve Hart
