Dear Grace Family:
Last spring Grace UMC hosted our first annual classic car show. At the time, I had no idea what to expect because we had not hosted a car show before. The event was a big hit for the Merritt Island community, and we at Grace enjoyed hosting many people who had not previously visited our campus. The team of folks organizing the event did an excellent job, and there were many compliments to our members and our staff.
It is car show time again this weekend, and we are hosting the second annual car show tomorrow, March 9. Come out and enjoy this fun event! There will be food trucks, so you can have lunch on campus. Please plan to offer hospitality to everyone visiting our campus, and don’t underestimate the importance of a smiling face and a welcoming spirit!
This weekend is also the weekend that we “spring forward”, so remember to set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.
Sunday, March 10, the scripture passages for worship are Numbers 21: 4-9 and John 3: 14-21. Pastor Beth is working on a message entitled “Light of The World.” When I read the passage from Numbers, I noticed how the Israelites complained bitterly despite having seen God’s miracles rescue them from slavery. For some reason, we humans have a hard time understanding that God is for us, not against us. Our job is to trust Him. I look forward to being inspired by what will be an excellent message on Sunday!
