I think we are all grateful and relieved that Dorian finally left us. We have had several folks ask how we can help those in the Bahamas. By the far the best advice I can offer at this time is to donate to UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief. You can review their website at www.UMCOR.org. One of the great benefits of being part of the United Methodist Connection is that we support organizations like UMCOR, and because of our support, 100% of donations go to relief efforts and not to administrative costs.
This Sunday, September 8, we have a musical guest all the way from New Zealand. Grant Norsworthy is a musician and child advocate who supports Compassion International. I think you will be blessed by his presence at Grace. Grant will lead a more extended worship time Sunday at The Five. This is a great time to invite a friend and come to The Five! Please spread the word.
Pastor Beth will share a message based upon the calling of Esther. This continues our series on how we hear and respond to God’s calling in our lives. I can think of no better way to thank God for all our blessings than by coming together for worship.
God bless you! Pastor Steve
