I am grateful and humbled by the wonderful worship attendance at Grace on Easter Sunday. We had 50 for the sunrise service, 228 at 9am, and 84 at 11am. May we keep growing and learning!
Our excellent staff and volunteers worked behind the scenes to prepare for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, a well-attended Easter egg hunt on Saturday, and all the Sunday services. Many thanks to our musicians, office staff, sound technicians, program staff, custodial and maintenance and everyone else who served!
You don’t want to miss the service this Sunday, April 24. Pastor Kris from The Oasis, the United Methodist Church that exists inside Lowell Correctional Institution, will share a message based upon her ministry. We may also hear from a prior resident of Lowell about how her life has changed as a result of God’s work through The Oasis.
Pastor Kris will offer a message based upon Acts 9:11-19 entitled “I Once Was Blind.” Pastor Kris has offered excellent messages at Grace previously, and we are excited to see her again. She will also be available for a question and answer session between services.
Finally, friends, I read something recently that struck me as a simple but profound reminder of Easter joy. The writer of a continuing education book I am reading stated, “Friendship is the most important sign of resurrection.” Real friendship is rich and honest and just as supportive on bad days as on good days. May we all experience friendships as living signs of resurrection life!
