Dear Grace Family:
I offer my sincere appreciation to our music ministry team for a wonderful Palm Sunday service. It was truly an inspiring service and everything from the solos to Nick’s explanation of “Holy Harmonious” and “active listening” was well done. I am so proud of the ministry team here at Grace, including our paid staff and every choir member and volunteer.
Don’t forget about our Good Friday service, which begins at 6:30pm. This solemn service really prepares us for the meaning of Sunday’s Easter celebration, as we reflect on the meaning of crucifixion.
The scripture passages for Sunday are Ephesians 4: 1-6 and Luke 24: 1-12. I am working on a message entitled “Practicing Resurrection.” The question I am exploring is how the resurrection of Jesus changes the way we live, think, and act. If we are not different because of the resurrection, then we have missed the real truth of the gospel.
Friends, this will be my last Easter serving as a pastor at Grace. I have appreciated your prayers the past eight years during Holy Week, and I implore you to pray for me and all the worship leaders of the various churches in our area. The good news of Jesus is great news for the whole world, and we want to share it with enthusiasm!
