PAY ATTENTION!

Dear Grace Community:
Pay attention! We often hear this when someone is warning us to avoid a collision or accident. But what if paying attention is the best advice for maintaining a deep and meaningful walk with Jesus? Only by looking for evidence of the work of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives will we be able to witness God’s miracles and thereby affirm our faith. Too often, we fail to pause long enough to see what God is doing in our midst. 
This Sunday, Pastor Beth will offer a message based upon Matthew 4: 12-23 entitled “Gone Fishin.” Jesus called his first disciples at a time when they were going about their routine jobs and predictable lives. They must have been paying attention to the power and presence of Jesus when he called them. They responded with an immediate and significant risk by following him! While following him will cost us, it is always worth it!
I hope you will come to worship Sunday paying attention and expecting the Holy Spirit’s presence and guidance.
