Dear Grace Family:
If you have not already signed up for our Easter services, please do so right away! Click here to RSVP. We have had many people already sign up, and I know that our attendance numbers are increasing as more people are getting vaccinated. You do not need to sign up for Maundy Thursday or Good Friday services. Both of those services will begin at 6:30pm. Just come out and invite a friend. Of course, we will continue to livestream all services as well.
Some folks have asked how soon we will allow congregational singing. Technically, the local churches are free to decide this on a case-by-case basis. It is my hope that we can gradually begin a more open approach to worship in May. I appreciate your patience as we try to take reasonable precautions while people get vaccinated. In the meanwhile, it is most important that we continue to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
When you come to the Good Friday services, please enter in silence and leave in silence. This is a special service of reflection upon the meaning of the cross. We will offer some meditative music before the service begins, so try to arrive early to embrace this meaningful time.
Easter Sunday includes sunrise outdoors at 6:30 AM, plus our 8 AM and 11 AM services and The Five outdoors at 5 PM. The scripture readings are Acts 10: 34-43 and John 20:1-18. My message is entitled “While it is Still Dark, Go!” Please pray for me and all our church staff and volunteers this week. We must never underestimate the power of an ongoing prayer life.
Happy Easter weekend! Thank you for the privilege of serving as one of your pastors!
Pastor Steve Hart
