Another school year is about to end, and we celebrate the graduates who end one chapter of life and embark upon another. My prayer is that our students, parents, school administrators, staff, and teachers can enjoy a safe and peaceful summer.
The beginning of summer typically means people travel more regularly and may be more sporadic in church attendance. Please remember the importance of church attendance this summer, both to nurture your own spiritual life and to be available to welcome new people.
On Wednesday, May 25 at 6pm, we will offer a free jazz concert in the sanctuary. I have heard this group of young people play, and I assure you that we are in for a treat! Don’t miss it!
This Sunday, May 22, Pastor Gary will offer the message that concludes the current series. The scripture passage is Mark 16: 1-8, and the message is entitled “Where Do We Go To Get Help?”. The theme “where do we go” is a good reminder of the reality of spiritual movement in our lives, which is perhaps more important than physical movement.
As always, I encourage you to invite friends to worship each week. We have a new member joining this Sunday at 9am, and I celebrate how God continues to draw new people to Grace UMC. It is a privilege to serve as the hands and feet of Christ!
See you Sunday!
